Legal information for Germany

- If you have Ukrainian citizenship, you can legally stay in Germany for up to 90 days without a visa. You do not need to apply for asylum. The EU interior ministers have decided that you can be recognised as a war refugee in a simplified procedure according to § 24 AufenthG. If you want this, you can register as a war refugee.

Transportation

- General advice to prevent human trafficking:
  Do not give anyone the originals of documents; store copies of your documents in different places. Do not agree to any work of dubious nature; do not borrow from strangers, keep in touch with relatives, keep in mind emergency numbers: EU assistance – 112
  
  If possible, do not travel alone. If you are traveling in private cars, inform relatives or friends, send them a photo of the number plate.
