We are strengthening care facilities in Ukraine to provide a safe home for elderly people who need care. Expanding capacities and ensuring heat supply sustainably improve their living conditions.
Older people and those needing care are particularly vulnerable in frontline areas. Many can no longer care for themselves and often have no means of evacuation due to a lack of capacity in care facilities. Without support, they lack a safe place where they can receive long-term care.
We create urgently needed accommodation capacity for people needing care to be safely housed and cared for during the war.
In the Poltava region, we are expanding the capacity of a nursing home by installing eight modular houses and repairing the roof. In the Sumy region, we are securing the fuel supply for the winter so that the facility can be reliably heated. With these measures, we provide protection and stability for people particularly dependent on help.
