The security situation in Kharkiv is alarming: Over 2,100 air alerts were triggered in 2024 alone. Daily attacks on civilian infrastructure endanger the population on a massive scale. Many people are left to cope on their own when injuries occur.
We want to empower people to act routinely and safely in emergencies. Through targeted training, civilians and professional first responders learn how to treat injuries quickly and effectively after being shelled.
Together with the local organisation Aid46, we provide stop-the-bleed and basic life support courses. Participants receive training in practical life-saving measures to act safely and routinely in crises. Professional first aiders can deepen their knowledge and practice regularly. These skills can save lives – especially in a city so close to the front line.
